POSITION SUMMARY

​

Right candidate will serve as an entry-level java web developer at PLX Labs and will work collaboratively
in an Agile environment with the team dispersed across multiple geographic locations. The candidate
will assist in planning, development, deployment, and maintenance of innovative applications that serve
the company’s business objectives.

We are PLX Labs, a startup IT company, located in Yerevan, Armenia building innovative PaaS and SaaS IT
solutions. PLX Labs is one of the IT offices of a group of companies, which distributed control of its
critical services within the teams allocated independently in diverse regions. Strategic offices of the
group are located in Ukraine, Armenia, Georgia with the clients and partners spread all
over the world: the Americas, Europe and Asia.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

​

• Bachelor’s degree

• A minimum of 3 years of work in programming and server software operations

• Demonstrated knowledge in the following languages/tools:
  *Core Java development
  *MongoDB, *RabbitMQ, * PostgreSQL
  *Multithreading, *Annotations, *Reflection, *Collections, and Generics
  *Git, *Maven, *Docker

• Effective written communication skills, the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group
  of users and support staff

• Good knowledge of English, both on communication and technical level

• Ability to work under strict time constraints in mission critical situations

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

• Extensive hand-coding expertise in Core Java development

• Familiarity with Eclipse/IDEA, Maven, Spring Core, Spring Data, and Spring MVC

• Strong experience in data modeling

• Experience creating and consuming web services in XML and JSON

• Understanding of good design principles and ability to adhere to complex design

• Excellent debugging skills
